Terri Pecora is American and was born in 1958 in South California.
She studied illustraton at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and while there she started designing for the furniture and design sector. In 1989 she moved to Milan where she attended the Product Design course at the Domus Academy.
In 1991 she founded her own studio where she designed for several different European companies in the furniture, bathroom fitting and lighting sectors such as BRF, Ceramica Tecla, DNA, Ellesse, Edra, Flou, Interflex, Marco Bicego, Plumcake Kids, Simas, Vice Versa, Zanotta and accessories for Adidas, Esprit, Montblanc, Silhouette e Swatch. In 1994 the project "mixo", which was produced by Interflex and designed together with her husband Nicolas Bewick was chosen for the Compasso d'oro.
In 2001 the products "baby carrier" and "sleeping bag" from the Plumcake kids line were chosen fo the ADI Design Index. In 2002 her "dish" shower tray was chosen for the same honour. In 2003 the toilet and bidet "dish" from the same line designed for Ceramica Tecla and the baby bottle drainer for Vice Versa were chosen for the ADI Design Index. Terri has organized several workshops in Milan at the European Institute of Design and the Domus Academy, and in Rome at La Sapienza university. Since 1998 she has also held fashion and design courses at the Milan Polytechnic.
